Clowns From Mars EPs 10

Deji walked into the living room. He noticed something terrible had happened. Smell of burnt food cut deep through his nostrils. He sneezed as he looked at the flat screen T.V attached on the wall. His next turn made his gaze fall on the calendars. They all were out of place.

He could hear his grandpa cough heavily from his room. He made his way to the kitchen quickly and he pushed open the door. He opened up all the pots. It all had been washed. He gave up a suspicious smile. He found some pieces of cake on a tray laying close to the sink. He plunged a hand full down his throat. His eyes widen like it would pop as he swallowed it forcefully. It had the taste of sore egg.

He was hungry. If he saw more the same process would have occurred again.

"Fosa" He called as he moved through the dark passage. He thumbed a button on the wall as he got to the middle of the passage and light flooded the passage.

Deji peeped through the open door leading to his room. The look on his friends face made him startled.

"Will you two tell me what happened." He said demonstratively. Fosa eye moved quickly from Deji's hair and it stopped at his shoes. Quickly, it travelled back to his face leaving out the cross bag he had dangling a bit below his waist.

Kelvin stood off the bed and walked pass Deji almost pushing him into the ground.

"Your devilish cousin wanted to fry us." Kelvin said as he stood in the door way.

Deji nodded. His lips tightened against each other as he awaited the guy with the swollen lips to blast up.

"Dude." Fosa began slowly.

"We wanted to stay with you. You know that right."

"Stop lecturing the goat." Kelvin voice broke into the room. He sounded like he had water in his mouth.

"If we wanted to die. There are lot of bushes in the village. We would have dropped dead there. No one would have noticed."

"Are you blaming me for your problems. I told you guys not to show up. If you guys had hidden well the first day she came. She wouldn't have noticed you guys. And she would be fine now, now she his leveraging on me."

"So are we holding her down." Fosa said as he touched his lips.

"You sister, or cousin. Whatever you call her. She is laying in her room. she passed out when the smoke got to much."

"Smoke!!!" Deji repeated.

"Yeah smoke" Kelvin voice came in again. This time it was clear and loud. Deji turned around. His eyes highlighted Kelvin's tall structure as he leveraged his weight on the door.

"She wanted to bake cake. I warned her. She wouldn't listen."

"God!!" Deji exclaimed. He nodded his head as he moved closer to the foot of the bed Fosa was sitting on. His eyes moved across the room to another bed close to the window. It was well dressed with a big pillow seated on it and leaning on the wall.

"How did it happen." He asked.

"I have mouth pain. Ask him." Fosa pointed to kelvin.

Kelvin moved across the room till he was close to the bed beside the window. He sat in it and he he moved closer to the wall with his back. He carried his legs up and adjusted his seating position, making sure he was seating on his legs.

"She wanted to fry beans." He let out a weak smile and his gaze caught Deji's serious look.

"Sorry. She wanted to bake cake. Which she did, later she wanted to fry plantain chips. She was busy with her phone. The smoke was much. When she got back to control the smoke. It was out of control." "Exactly" Fosa said under his breath as Kelvin was explaining. Kelvin stopped, giving Fosa a cold stare. He swallowed the load of spit in his mouth and he continued.

"The smoke made her pass out."

"God!!! She is asthmatic." Deji said half startled. He sank back into the bed and he asked.

"Where were you guys."

"We came in later. I washed the pot, and I cleaned up the kitchen."

"God!!! You didn't save her."

"I did. He didn't." Fosa intruded.

Deji stomped out of the room and he made his way to his cousin's room.

Kelvin stood off the bed. He moved closer to Fosa and he gave him a shake.

"That was perfect."

"hmmm hmmmm" Fosa sighed.

"She would learn how to respect us." Kelvin added with a sharp smile.

Clowns from Mars Eps9

-few days ago-

A young guy known as kefu walked from his father's palm farm, through the thick bush leading to the village.

His father had warned him earlier not to let anyone see him. His father was indebted to some set of people and he didn't want them to know he had resumed work on his palm farm. If they did know they won't give way to negotiations they would want to collect all their money at once.

Kefu took a long turn in the bush. He kept every track in mind and he didn't walk outside the path that had already been created. He wasn't too familiar with the whole route.

It was longer than the normal route to the village.

He had not moved too long when he heard two people arguing.

He stopped and a involuntary sneeze came off his nostrils.

He wiped his wet moustache with the back of his hands and he began to move on his toe towards where he heard the argument.

He moved closer and he parted the leaves blocking his view. He tried all his best to be careful and silent.

He recognise the two. One was old and the other was a young guy, tall and dark. He had a scanty breads dropping down his jaw. His face was strong and he seems angry.

Kefu was behind the leaves watching, his jaw dropped and he held his mouth firm as he watched The young guy charged at the old man. The old man crashed to the ground and he refused to move.

Kefu's breath went so hard that he could hear it, as he watched The young guy try to make the old man stand up. Nothing was working. The old man looked lifeless. After a while the young guy jerked up a black Ghana must go that had been position on the ground and he marched forward without looking back.

***Now***

"I told you not to say anymore word. You won't listen" Kelvin said. He looked down on Fosa who was laying on a bed with a swollen lips and a black eye.

"Wait!! How many times did he hit me." Fosa managed to say from the side of his lips.

"I lost count. It was much"

"You mean that rogued fist of his, touched me so many times that you lost count. Ah m dead" Fosa fell back on the bed and he closed his eyes. Kelvin picked him up by his blood stained singlet. "Fosa!! Fosa!!" Kelvin called. "Wake up" He added.

Fosa opened up one if his eyes gently, a thin lines appeared on his fore head like the skin on his fore head had been folded.

"I am not dead. I am trying to imagine how he was hitting me." Kelvin sighed after a lazy smile.

"Deji's cousin is not happy with us staying Here. You need to get well soon so we can take care of her." Kelvin paused as he watched Fosa's concentrated eyes.

"Deji wants us to take a job for ourselves."

"Not after this punch" Fosa replied. He drew in a long breathe and he closed his eyes. Fosa eyes was fixed on his face and a quick smile was generated on his face as he tried matching Fosa's swollen face with that of a dead pig.

Clowns From Mars Eps8

Fosa looked up at Kelvin's sweat, settling on his chin and gently dropping on his white shirt creating a spot.

An old bald man in a big brown suit that was large enough for Kelvin and Fosa to wear at once was seated on the other end of the table.

Fosa chuckled and he looked up at kelvin. Kelvin replied with a wink. They were both getting impatient and bored.

Looking for a job was boring. They both had to agree now.

The old man had been staring at their waec result for over 10 minutes and it looked like three days to them.

"This result is not bad." The old man said dryly.

They both nodded respectively and they expected the old man to say something else.

"Is this what we get after 3days."

"Ten minutes bro." Kelvin whispered back. The old man watched them closely then he spoke.

"You too seems to be very good friends even if we employ you. I will make sure you two don't stay together."

-What is the point.- Kelvin thought as he sighed.

"Can I see your testimonial?" The old man asked.

Kelvin eyes widen.

"Is he crazy" Kelvin asked Fosa with his eyes. They both were good at communicating without words.

"We didn't come here to be your manager sir. We only wanted to be cleaners. Sir ordinary cleaner." Fosa bursted. The old man's face changed as he listened to Fosa.

Kelvin stood off his seat. "Sir. Nah ordinary cleaner we wan do oo."

"I am sorry. You two have to mind the way you talk to.."

"What if we don't mind that." Fosa broke in angrily. Kelvin held him from behind soothing him.

"Don't beat him. Remember is your father's age mate." Kelvin said.

"I will slap him."

"Please don't. He is bald already if you slap him. He won't grow beards again in his life. His head will look just like an egg."

****

(3hours later)

Fosa looked down on the ropes holding him bound to kelvin.

"It is the 3rd hour now." Fosa whispered.

Kelvin looked up and he sighed. "Just shut up." Kelvin responded.

"Are we going to remain here for ever. At least all we did was to insult his boss."

"Shut up pls." Kelvin said again firmly.

He leaned back on Fosa and he whisked.

"Can I seat."

"Were you deaf when we were told not to even sneeze. Look at that guy over there." Kelvin was saying while Fosa's gaze travelled to the right. He sighted a thick man with a gun hanging on his shoulder.

"About this job."

"Yeah what is it?" Kelvin asked.

"I don't think we would look for job again. The money I brought will be enough." Fosa explained.

A nod came off Kelvin then he hissed.

"How much do you have self. Who told you that chicken change you brought from the village won't finish." Kelvin said. He stamped his legs against the ground and his look grew cold.

"Can't we just beg someone to rescue us."

"Shut up idiot." Kelvin yelled half aloud.

"And when Deji's cousin was beefing you this morning, you were just looking" Kelvin said.

"Shhh" Fosa sighed. "Someone is listening."

"You mean that guy with the thick mustache. I don't like him. He smells from afar."

"He smells like rotting egg." Fosa added again.

"Just like your ass." Kelvin replied with a grin.

"I guess you guys weren't discussing about my brother." A voice hit them.

"Did you just change your voice Kelvin."

"No... Some one is beside us." Kelvin said drily. A little tone of discouragement in his voice.

Fosa whirled around quickly. His head sank into his neck as he took in a loud gulp, seeing a guy twice thicker than the man who had them bounded.

"Is he your brother. I said his moustache looks..." A punch hit Fosa's face and he went blank.

Clowns From Mars Eps7

Fosa could feel the whole world going down on him. Now he began to sense he was putting a lot of people in his trouble. His dad was the first he thought about. He had began to wonder what the old man would be going through now. Noima was next, he felt every of hers' word hit him. She had told him she would be unable to spend one day without seeing him. She said she would fall sick. He Imagined she been sick at that moment

“Fosa!!” Kelvin called, his eyes met fosa’s brooding eyes. “I know what you have on your mind. You are missing every one.” Fosa nodded in agreement, then he finally spoke. “Yeah. My dad”

“You are twenty four now. Don’t act like a kid.” Kelvin said as he held fosa closer to himself.

The door opened up and deji walked in.

"Go hide your self now.” He said hurriedly.

“From who. Your bed wetting blind old man?”

“Point of correction. Bet wetting old bat.” Fosa corrected, with a large grin.

“Whatever you call him.” Deji said angrily, his finger pointed at them.

“This is not about him. My cousin will be here soon. She mustn’t know I harboured any one at home. And by tomorrow you guys should go look for a job”

“How much will you pay, if I help your wash your walls. Your fence is very dirty.” Fosa said from the side of his mouth. Kelvin watched them enjoying the conversation.

“Can I say something.” Kelvin finally spoke up, They both stopped arguing and they looked him in the face. “What!!!” Deji exclaimed. He knew kelvin long silence was up for something stupid.

“About the job or no job. Cant we rob a bank.” He said. Deji had to stop thinking for a while and before he could come up with a befitting response. Fosa was already clapping.

“That was well said bro. Well said.” Fosa said as he kept jamming his hands together.

Deji's phone buzzed. He looked up at them and he whispered. “She is here.” Fosa frowned as he moved closer to window. “What are you doing” Deji asked.

“Hiding behind the curtains.” Fosa replied as he waved Kelvin to move closer.

“No” Deji yelled. Now he was regretting taking them in.

*****

A huge guy stood off a wooden bench as an old man with a walking stick supporting his weight drew closer to the bench. He grumbled as he sat down.

“Kids of now a days.” The old man said.

“My friend” The man seated on the bench greeted him. He adjusted his sitting posture and his frown produced a sighed.

“She is pregnant.” The man said.

“But em doctor. How come this is all happening at once. Your daughter is pregnant. Kelvin and Fosa were kidnapped. Sorry they ran away after looting the whole village of our valuables. Pa joseph was murdered.” “Hmmm” The other man (Doctor) sighed as the old man was speaking.

“By the way who impregnated her. Did she tell you? Doctor did she?”

“She said it was Kelvin.”

“Kelvin!!!!” The old man exclaimed.

“No he cant be.” The old man repeated.

“I also don’t belive it. I see her always with Fosa.”

“No that’s not what I am saying. That’s not what I am saying. Hmmmm..” The old man's face puckered into a deep frown.

“Chief. What is it that you are not telling me" Nioma's father asked.

Dear daughter. A sonnet to her.

Dear daughter,
Though dark, she had a skin like the moon
. She glows.
Eyes like the stars in the dark
Everything in here is true and for you
But she may read it before you, hopefully it sets her free into understanding.

Her presence is a switch, flips one's mood from ill to healed
She alone financed my emotions
I am rich, no height her presence could not make me me reach.
In her I find peace, bliss, amidst falling trees, misery.

My kisses won't do justice, my words aren't here to deceive
No amount of gifts can unwrap how much I love you to your knowledge
Your value is beyond what any human can afford, I'm occasionally intimidated.
Your love is like divine secrecy revealed, and I'm just a man!

Nne, my heart beats for you.
Would you dance to it?

Education, a discuss. (ii)

Education (ii)

Education within school setting isn't greater than that outside school setting, "everybody na king for im own lane", don't go feeling like Optimus Prime 'cos you're an undergraduate or a graduate. Some even permit me to say, stupidly go feeling pompous with an O' level certificate. Each form of education has its use, a relevant one in EVERYONE' lives where it plays a vital role, however our ability to use both depends on the side we've spent most of our life learning and that which really tickles our fancy, interests us. We on the long run have use for both in variations. Not getting it yet? well a sure way of being a failure is taking your school work with no seriousness, revel in the the saying that:
"na anyhow dem just dey give bad grades, no b wetn person write joor"
afterall most successful rich men in the world today are school dropouts or weren't the really brilliant ones... Sure the system is not really good most times it's bad, and most don't really deserve the bad grade they get, but having the above kind of mentality is a sure way to fail in life. But guess what?

"I failed most of the engineering exams we once wrote, a guy in my class ace them all. Now he's working at Microsoft and I own Microsoft." - Bill Gates.

I just quoted Bill Gates roughly, according to "smart" accessment by the institute, he was a not-so bright student, but apparently his future was a contrast.

Now it seems I just contradicted the "sure way to fail" analysis with the Bill Gates example. Well now let's re-analyze.

If you ask me Bill Gates wasn't a dullard, his grades might have said so, in fact in reality he might have not really been brilliant with the books but guess what?
I still insist he wasn't a dullard, a dullard in my own perspective is someone who's not sound enough to get him or herself educated enough to succeed in life. Bill gates did beyond not putting in too much in respect to his school grades, he put in all his concern, and all of him in his future!, mapped out a plan to achieve his dreams and plunged it into action with focus. I could go on , but I believe I've made my point, education within the school setting ain't better than that outside it, neither is it he other way round. Don't study just to acquire good grades in school, don't just study books only, study more, study your life, study life as a whole, to get yourself a better life, get educated not to impress but to live your dreams.

Why do we indulge in education? To acquire understanding.

What need do we have for understanding? To get a good life.

How do you get a good life with the understanding? You put it into pratice, action with utmost focus.

To make it in life, you've got to do something you weren't taught in school, if not everyone that graduated would be rich.

Don't just think with your understanding, do, and don't just do, do something different, even if you were to do what has been done before by another, do it in a different manner, make yours an improvement, maximize the usage of ideas from your big dreams in life, it's not time to relent, don't give up, keep getting yourself educated, back it up with hope in God, for you, a good life is sure. I rest my pen. -Cirphrank

Education, a discuss. (i)

Education

Ehn, let me start by purely antagonising the popular saying that "Education is the best Legacy", that's a fatal misconception. Education is a good legacy, in fact a great legacy it is but it is not the best or the greatest, the best legacy and that which anyone could leave as such mostly as parents is showing others or young ones THE WAY OF THE LORD.

Well I'm not about to turn this to a religious article. Education is a great tool for the sharpening of the mind, for better understanding of ourself, our society and thus the universe at large. Education is the study of indepth analysis on subjects by men and women that take or took their time to think on the subjects thus we unconsciously making analysis on the issues already even before realising we're doing so, in the course of doing this, new subjects spring up and are studied by various individuals and it goes on and on.

I quote, though roughly: "Education is the learning of things we already know in new ways" , that is a quote by whom I can't recall now. I strongly agree with that quote.

Now is education really the alpha of all that man should acquire? and is it available only in the school setting? I'm writing on this as requested by a lady and as I told her, Education I shall laud and de-hype.

Let's not thread in an Isrealite manner, Education can in the real sense only be lauded, if you ask me, I'd define Education simply as a tool of prime understanding, and a good measure of concise understanding is what every human needs to live a success filled life.

The de-hype [Reality Check]

However, here is what I antagonise; the popular notion that exist in 2ways, the notion viz;

-That education is available only in the school setting and those who get out with the best grades are the most educated

-That held by those who believe education exist beyond school wall but believe, that withing the school walls is supreme.

(i) Education is not achivable in the school setting only , and neither are all those that get out with the best grades the most educated. At first I wanted to write a Romeo and Juliet to drive in the point but on a second thought I believe you pretty much understand, life experiences is a form of education and you don't need to be in school to experience life at its HIGH and LOW, mother nature will school you herself paid or not, also is education achievable via talent exploitation, skill(s) acquisition and many more. It how much we put into that which interests us that determines how educated we get. When I said "How much" I didn't really mean finance-wise, though it's not negligibe, I meant a collocation of all needed such as the aforementioned, dedication, discipline, passion and more.

With the above, I believe I've made lucid my take on the first way the infamous erroneous notion exist

ii TO COME...
