Walk me through Ekosodin she said, a guy narrates his divine escape ( UNIBEN babes and demons)

Virtually everybody in Nigeria believes in witches, wizards and other forces. So do I. I've been hearing stories about these people, and I think I actually met one of them.


Location: Uniben, student's created walkway to 250lt, opp June12.


I was returning to my hostel, hall3 after I had gone to give a friend materials to read for the fast approaching exams. So I decided to take the other road, the one that leads directly to hall3 as against the one where you have to pass through twin lt, CED building, Agric and faculty of Law. It was lonely, dark, scary, and... before I forget, it was 11pm or there about.

Okk.. I usually dread that road at night when I'm with my phone and wallet because "the real owners" (night men) of the phone and the wallet might just come outta nowhere and collect them ( I call them the real owners because, during that time of the night, anything seen with you, even your slippers, automatically becomes theirs). But on that day, i wasn't with any valuable so I was very confident walking the road but at the same time scared because in the "un-holy book" of the Night men, it was a sin to be walking alone in the night empty handed as you could attract slaps or beatings if you're accosted and nothing is found on you, even 50naira.
P.S. : Incase you're wondering if I have the "un-holy book" in my possession, I dont. I have heard many guys talk about it, while narrating their ordeals, with a thin voice in my mind telling me.. Mehnn.. If you just hear "guy show", just run. I was damn prepared.
So, there I was, walking down the road, on getting to June 12, in between the road that leads to computer science by the right, and hall4 by the left and just slightly opposite june12, I saw a girl standing by the road, couldn't really see her face because it was dark. As i approached, she came closer to me, saying she is looking for June 12, I pointed at June 12 to her, but it seemed she was not "understanding" so I became suspicious of her somehow. What uniben student won't know where June 12 is in the first place??? Even if she was a fresher! it was about a week to exam.

Well, she's a girl, so I decided to walk her down and was also mindful to keep a distance from her. Then we got talking.. She asked where I was going.. And I replied Ekosodin.

That I want to see a friend in hall3. I lied. I lied because I was suspecting her.. I mean.. She was motionless when I saw her as I was walking down, only for her to sight me and then ask me about a place that is just directly opposite her.. Who does that? Then she was like.. This night? I said.. Yeahh.. I know some guys, don't worry I can find my way around. She then asked, do you stay alone? In my mind, I was like: "Heey!! Dem don come oo...! Tell dem say u nor see me..."
But, Yes I replied, then I inquired likewise, where do you stay? She replied.. Ekosodin.. Then she struck me with the question.. Can I follow you? I was just laughing in my mind... Saying... "Babe! Are you the Delilah that have been sent to cut off my head? Nor be u dey find June 12 just now? Now you wan go Ekosodin. Me and you, walking the streets of the almighty Ekosodin around past 10.. U try ehh..." then I replied.. No problem. We finally got to the June 12 then she said she wanted to buy something to eat that I should wait for her.. Then I told her that I want to see a friend @hall3 that she should wait in June 12 for me that I wont waste time, that am coming 'na na'. She said ok.. "Na so I con use move ahead oo.. As I reach hall3, I waka go flyover con begin cover myself with the blood of Jesus."

My people, that one no b winch???

Wise choice though! Meanwhile I think she isn't a proper witch, though it is pure witchery to ask a guy to walk Ekosodin with you in the night, nice one dude.
