The better yesterdays

You came with a facade
Stupid me thought it wielded reality
You preached change, but now,
All I see is a better yesterday

The milk flowed but in drops
The green glowed but like a tiny dot
Now don't blame me saying humans can't be satisfied, that was not it.
But with this choice I've made, can't put up an argument as I have been struck dumb.
Now I'm asking myself, did I really just settle for less?!

They don't even drop no more
It's lights out.


God, what have I done!

Now I'm literally screaming : bring back our corruption
I asked for quite much and I'm getting none.

I, Nigeria, has always and still is looking back to the better yesterdays.
